Dr. Verma is a plant biochemist by profession. His major area of work was biochemical studies of potato. Dr. Verma made significant contribution in understanding the carbohydrate metabolism of potato and various enzymes involved in it. He has published over 30 research articles besides several popular articles, book chapters etc. in the journals of repute.
